IRWINDALE · CA
Long-Distance Moving from Irwindale, CA
Danny runs the same truck all the way to Vegas or Phoenix — nobody hands your boxes off to a stranger halfway there.
- Written before Marcus books the truck
- Payroll crew, our own trucks
- California DMV Household Goods Carrier permit on file
Start your estimate
Linda can often quote it from your description alone.
Long-distance moves go wrong when a broker hands your boxes to a subcontractor you’ve never met, halfway across the desert. Danny Ochoa drives the same truck he loaded in Irwindale all the way to the destination — nobody else touches it.
One Truck, One Crew, No Transloading
Sun’s Transport owns its trucks and employs its crews directly. When Danny’s team loads your furniture at 5230 Irwindale Ave, that truck doesn’t stop at a warehouse to get combined with another household’s freight. What leaves Irwindale is what arrives at your new address.

How Pricing Works
Long-distance jobs are quoted individually after a walkthrough, in person or by video — not off a flat per-mile rate. What changes the number:
- Total inventory and truck space needed
- Specialty items — piano, safe, or oversized furniture
- Stairs or elevator access at pickup and delivery
- Whether short-term storage is needed between legs
Need somewhere for your things to sit between the old lease ending and the new one starting? Our Irwindale storage bay bridges that gap.
Bundled in, not billed separately
Here's what shows up on the truck with your crew
You won't see these listed as extras on the invoice — they're just part of how a Irwindale job gets done.
- Dedicated truck for your household — no shared loads
- Same crew from pickup to delivery
- In-person or video walkthrough before your quote
- Furniture pads, shrink wrap, and basic disassembly
- Coordination with our Irwindale storage bay if your dates don't line up
- Rigging equipment for pianos, safes, and oversized furniture

Have used before and always pleased, great team of people. Moves are stressful, so it matters!

Started off alittle behind but once got here, they did excellent work.
The rest of the lineup
Need a different kind of move?
Same Irwindale crew handles all of these across San Gabriel Valley, not a separate subcontractor per service.
Local Moving
Michelle's crew has hauled enough Covina bungalow furniture and Baldwin Park apartment loads to size a truck from the address alone.
Residential Moving
A Craftsman bungalow off Foothill Blvd and a West Covina two-story get the same careful crew, different equipment.
Apartment & Condo Moving
We know which Covina and Baldwin Park complexes need a certificate of insurance before the freight elevator opens.
Full-Service Packing
Nobody has a free weekend to box a whole kitchen — give Linda a date and Michelle's crew has it done before the truck backs in.
Piano Moving
An upright and a baby grand don't move the same way, so Danny wants to know which one you own before he puts a number on the stairs.
Safe & Gun-Safe Moving
Floor safes and gun safes don't come loose with a dolly and good intentions — Danny's crew brings the straps and the rigging plan first.
Questions that come up on this job
Answered before you have to ask twice
Do you subcontract any part of the move?
No. Danny Ochoa's crew loads the truck in Irwindale and drives it to your new address themselves. Nothing gets transferred to another carrier partway through.
How is long-distance pricing calculated?
There's no flat per-mile number — Danny's team quotes it after a walkthrough of what you're moving, since inventory and any special items like a piano or safe change the truck and crew needed.
What if my move-out and move-in dates don't line up?
That's what our own Irwindale storage bay is for — we can hold your load there between legs instead of you renting a separate unit.
Is my furniture insured in transit?
Yes, our trucks carry cargo coverage for the move. Ask Linda for the specifics when you book.
How far out should I book a long-distance move?
A few weeks out is ideal, especially for summer dates to Vegas or Phoenix when demand is highest — call (888) 278-9005 to check the calendar.

Two addresses is enough for our Irwindale office to send back a written rate, usually the same business day.
